Sushil Singhania
Chairman
As Chairman, Sushil Singhania sets the strategic direction of Champion Specialty Chemicals — the markets the company enters, the principals it chooses to represent, and the standards it holds itself to. His focus is on the long view: building partnerships that last decades rather than transactions that last a quarter.
He brings fifty years of experience in the chemicals industry and has been instrumental in shaping Champion's vision since joining the business founded by his family in 1947. Over that period he has guided the company's evolution from a trading house into a specialty chemicals partner serving customers across a broad range of industries.
Since 1980 he has travelled extensively in China, developing manufacturer relationships and first-hand commercial understanding of the region at a time when few Indian businesses had done so. That experience continues to inform Champion's approach to global sourcing and its work with international principals.
He was educated at St. Joseph's School, Darjeeling and St. Xavier's School, Kolkata, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata (1976).

Director & CEO
Gaurav Singhania is Director & CEO of Champion Specialty Chemicals and runs the business day to day. He holds responsibility for commercial strategy, principal and customer relationships, operations, and building the team — translating the board's long-term direction into how Champion actually works in the market.
He joined Champion after a career in international finance and strategy consulting, beginning in investment banking at Goldman Sachs in New York and continuing at Boston Consulting Group, also in New York. He brings that analytical discipline to a business built on relationships, with an emphasis on service reliability, technical depth, and transparency with both principals and customers.
He was educated at the Cathedral & John Connon School, Mumbai, and holds a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He studied at Keble College, University of Oxford, and completed the Owner/President Management programme at Harvard Business School in 2023.
He is an active member of the Entrepreneurs' Organization, Mumbai and the Young Presidents' Organization, Bombay.
